Formation of the Model A Ford Club of South Australia
The original Model A Ford Club in South Australia was established by a small enthusiastic group of Model A owners in 1965. In the early 1970's numbers dropped below an economic level and the Club ceased to exist. With the demise of the intial Model A Ford Club, Model A owners joined other various Car Clubs.
It was on the 5th May 1978, that a meeting took place at the home of Neil Phillips and the outcome of that meeting was the formation of The Model A Restorer's Club of S.A. Branch. We continued to be a Branch until January 1983 when it was decided by members to become a full Club in our own right, so another name change took place and we became The Model A Ford Club of South Australia Inc.
The first Club Run of the Model A Ford Club of South Australia 30th July 1978, twelve A's took part.
